Parenthood.

Webster defines this as:
v. par·ent·ed, par·ent·ing, par·ents
v.tr.
1. To act as a parent to; raise and nurture: "
2. To cause to come into existence; originate.
v.intr.
To act as a parent.

Any Parent would define it as:
Sleepless nights, midnight and 3 am bathroom breaks and feedings, play time that goes on and on, constant schedule, feedings and naps around the clock, teaching, training, learning, love, gratification, constant "No's" "Stop" "don't eat the shoes"  "don't chew on the curtains and floor" "put my cloths down". ... okay so maybe most normal parents to actual babies do not say the last few things!

We have almost hit the 2 week mark with our sweet puppy Elliott. I am not going to lie, the first week was HARD and challenging. There were potty accidents and 3 times up a night, she hates going in her doggy den to sleep, but sleeps just fine in our bed for a nap or on the floor with all 4 paws spread out. BUT HATES HER DEN! When we got her she was so little and basically a baby. Now she is turning into a toddler puppy. She chews, and plays with everything, she is sleeping through the night now, that is a BLESSING. . that means mom and dad are sleeping through the night and getting "adult time" But what that really means is , Training begins!!!

The day we picked her out...only 3 weeks ago....she was so little.
Tired baby after her bath....slept for 4 hours like this

Day 1 of having her.

Chase playing with her. She LOVES kids

discovering our backyard

she loves cuddling with her daddy

Her "puppy" is almost bigger then her!

playing and meeting uncle Jeff

that old saying "when baby naps, parents nap" Its true with dogs too!

*please forgive the lack of make up and normal hair....It was a long drive home!

We left her for the weekend with Aunt Noelle and Uncle Isaac and she was so happy to be home !

please do not be deceived, I know there are a lot of pictures on here of her sleeping but she is awake and into everything too! But on a serious  note, I couldn't imagine not having her, I have turned into a dog person and we lover her so much. She is our baby until we have babies and will be in our family for a long long time!

We just got back from Seattle, what  a great Britt Family vacation

My adorable Nephew Oliver James

I went for comfy this weekend, that and it being 62 degrees and cloudy made for a long sleeve and pants kind of weekend. I got 2 new outfits at H&M...ohhh how I love that store, this jean shirt (feels like I am wearing nothing- comfortable) and a floral skirt. Then a cute blue button down over sized shirt and leggings.
