Days go by

 Old School

Some days I wake up to this almost new realization (may not be that new, I just choose to push through it and ignore it ) That I am growing up, that its been years since I was in high school and I can not stay up as late at night and BOUNCE back in the morning ( I seriously do not know how we did it, and then to look even better the next day....shocking) I can not eat what I once ate, how our minds make us still feel young and yet we are aging everyday.  In fact my baby brother is in full swing of his senior year. He just had his 19th Birthday, he is doing college visits, scholarship stuff, and loving life.
I had the fun privilege of helping him with his Senior Pictures this last Saturday! And when I say "FUN" I mean, Him yelling at me in his deep manly voice that he does not want to wear what I picked out and that I am making him into a "fake" because he does not wear these outfits normally....Me instructing him that he will in fact listen to me and obey me and wear what I have picked out. He walks over and looks down at me and smiles this little smirk...when did he get so tall?! I am the older sister! no worries all ended well! (he wore the outfits for the most part)

He is such a cutie... But I might be a little bias too!

My amazing (Kinda) Sister in Law , who is booming into the business, did these pictures for us!

Thank you Shelsi Lindquist for your amazing talent and eye! *Go check out all her pictures on facebook!

Our Mamma and Jeff -
Oh how much I love my mamma. She is an amazing woman of God, Faith, Family and such a giving woman. I have never met anyone like her before, she is a gift to all of us. I am blessed to call her mom and friend.

His favorite thing to do! EVER

My baby brother is 8 years younger then me and growing up! When I took on this position at the school it was in hopes that I could get to know my brother again, I had moved out and went off to college and got married long before he was in high school, I wanted to watch him in High School Sports and be around for all the "little, Big" things that happen. And I am so glad I did, it has been so fun getting to know Jeff as a young adult and not a little brother who would beat me up around the house and tell mom on me (which I'm pretty sure he still does) but get to know the heart in him. I am so proud of him and who he is becoming. I am excited to watch him have the best senior year and graduate and head off to college! He makes me a proud big/ little sister! Love ya Talls!

Hello Yellow

Some days I get to welcome the big bright yellow/orange thing in the sky. Seeing as i live in a place that rains more days then not, when we get sun on a fall day...its like gold. We almost do not know what to do with ourselves. But no worries we did, Husband took me out on a great date day and had Mexican food and bought Grocery's and dog food from Wilco (its amazing how much date night changes when you get married and I know it will change again once we have kids) BUT It was perfect.

Floral Shirt- Consignment Store 4.99. Silk Skirt 2.00 Garage Sale. Belt Garage Sale 1.00. Shows Brown Wedges 19.99 Sale rack at DSW                           TOTAL OUTFIT: 27.98

white Sweater. Goodwill 4.99 (new with Target Tags on) Brown 3/4th sleeve shirt. Old Navy 16.99 . Yellow Forever 21 skinny's . Friend Garage Sale 2.00 . Ridding Boots. Friends Garage Sale 2.00 Hello new outfit. Total =  25.98
Both outfits are "Dressed on a Dime"

And I am learning how to "Dress on a Dime"  Here is my wise knowledge for today, I will give to you:

 1. Its okay to wear "hand me downs" ....you heard me correct!

At one point I remember hating when I had to wear my cousins or friends or even garage sale cloths, I remember worn out knees on jeans, fuzz balls on dis -colored shirts, shoes that are missing the black on the toe's or scratches on them. BUT they are not all like that, switch your thinking. You can find amazing, and I mean amazing things at consignment stores and second hand stores or from a friend. And the way you wear  it may be completly different then the way your friend wore it. It's a  money savor. I know when I go I say "Husband I saved a ton of money,  look at this shirt it was ONLY 4.99!" He catches on quick thought! :)
you can go and buy a complete outfit at say Goodwill then you could get for a single item retail price! SO if you are needing a lot of pieces for your wardrobe go, find, dig and conquer a second hand store!!!

Happy almost Weekend, husband is out of town until Sunday and I am left up to my own devices. I have an issue of staying up super late, because lets face it that's when I am the best me! I clean, I cook, I bake, I organize, I start craft projects, I decided to train our dog, I do the long over due folding and hanging up my cloths, and starting loads of laundry (good thing we have our own house now, our neighbors hated us in our apartment...well they hated me!) . Now normally husband is home to help me figure out that 11:30 is not the best time to start all these things and we go to bed, but when he is not home.....I have no gauge on what normal time is for bed. So around 1ish maybe closer to 2 I finally was sleeping. Now If you are wondering, YES PEOPLE,  Six Am comes very, very soon going to bed that late, and I think it does something to my dreams....Strange dreams, very real dreams...not the best. I hate when I wake up feeling weird from a dream. I have had a this issue since I was little, Having very real feeling dreams, where I remember them when I wake up and can remember them all day, sometimes they feel so real I think it happened. I get night terrors that I wake up man screaming (because I lack the ability to scream like a girl) to and can remember them, its all very weird. So I say all of that to say....it may be a long day today for little ole' Nicole .

Prints and Stripes.....

We will be parents in T- 24 hours....We are as ready as we will ever be. A trip to Petco and a quick on line study of "How to successfully Crate Train your dog" lecture and BAM she is coming. Husband is going to be training and spending good quality time with her in the morning while he works from home. I have a feeling that he may start leaving earlier then he use to. :) I do not blame him! potty training a dog can be very irritating.  We went out to dinner with some great friends that are stationed over in Augusta, Georgia. We ended up going to this little restaurant called "The Farm" and it resemble a farm, its a huge hit, people flock to it. On our way home a car in front of us swerved off the road to see "GOATS" .......ordinary little goats in a field. .. I could not stop laughing and almost peed my pants, we have them in bulk in our town! I love that i can literally drive 40 min and be in a big city where farm animals are non-existence and that people name their fine restaurant "The Farm"Ohhh silly big town.

Cant wait to show off my new shirts I just got....I am weeks behind in my posting pictures and in my running....oh boy I need to step it up.

Ahoy Mate!

Friday July 22 - Already?!

One of my new favorite outfits I have put together.
I am on a new found love for my skirts, Its a wonderful love, I truly love wearing them again , I can pair them with almost anything. This worked perfect for Church. However I must confess I do feel a little pirate in this shirt! its got a lot of ruffles and is SHEER....wasn't that in back in the 80's?! So I vetoed the eye patch and wore it anyways, turns out I loved it.

-White Ruffle Shirt- Thrifted - Anne Taylor Loft
- Gray Skirt- Thrifted - Gap
- Blue Belt- Thrifted
- Knee Socks- Target 3.99
-Brown Boots- Macy's 49.00
-Flower Brooch-Sariejune
-White watch - Nordstroms - 16.99

On Tuesday my wonderful friend kidnapped me after work and took me up to Crossroads....she had to sell some cloths...well I shopped and bought a great little skirt and 2 cute shirts (and I know that you know they would be cute or I wouldn't have purchased them but I still like to say it) So now I have the bug...I came home and went through my closet getting an entire bag full of cloths that I wanted to trade for new ones.
I took my sweet Courteney up there (her first time up in Hawthorne district and at Crossroads and Buffalo Exchange) I sold 9 Items to Crossroads for an exchange and purchased 4 shirts and some sandals. and only spent $1.50 over my sell price. Then I walked up the road to Buffalo and waited for 35 min in line to sell more. . They took more then crossroads did and I sold 11 items and pocketed the money....NOW I know it was smart to take the money but I actually lose money if I just take it instead of trading for new cloths...I have buyers remorse...or maybe it would be sellers remorse...Well whatever it is BAD DECISION, I should have went and shopped ! Husband on the other hand was proud of me for coming home with money, that is a BIG achievement for me.

My weekend plans:

-Petsmart run
-mow the lawn & fill in bark dust (get the backyard ready for Elliott )
 -attend a wedding '
 - make coffee before church - church
-take a nap some where in there
- enjoy our one day of summer on Sunday with temp reaching 87!!

Happy Friday- and happy outfit making opportunities!

EGGS!

Green Eggs and Ham......

This weekend was GREAT! We got to see Josh & Sarah (their 3 kids) and Ben & Jen (their 4 kids) up in Seattle WA. Both Josh and Ben are Tom's older brothers and I adore their families (and them). Having 7 nieces and nephews up there that I dotn get to see very much makes me want to soak up ever second I can with them! Here are a few pics of our weekend Adventure:

Step one: Sleep in!!! (no work ) YES. Starbucks...always a must on a road trip, wait its a must everyday! Down my cranberry orange scone because i was starving. GET TO DRIVE all the way there because Tom needs to work and answer phone calls. Did you know that Washington's speed limit is 75!? Heck yes. Maneuver in and out of Seattle like a pro - Check! Stop and get snacks. I will have to add that cheddar popcorn in a bag is my favorite thing in the world to eat! Stay at a house with 4 kids and love ever second of it. Play Uno with the 3 little ones and win2 out of 4 times and maybe be a little too excited about my VICTORY. Go a Giant Easter Egg hunt with hundreds of kids and 6 adults and 7 kids means we are out numbered...NO child was lost or hurt in the making of this! Watch a 2 hour T-ball game of my six year old nephew Jaxon  and watch his team win and him filled with joy as he didn't "strike out and be a loser" (direct quote from him) boy do we raise them competitive...I swear he is not my child, but I have a good feeling that mine will be very similar. drop the kids off at "kids night" at their local YMCA and enjoy an evening with us adults. We had steak and lobster for dinner, cooked by Jen's dad and step mom in their amazing house overlooking Lake Washington....did I mention that it hit 70 degrees and my arm got burnt?! Pure goodness! Arose early for sunrise church service! had brunch with both families. Drove to Woodenville Washington to look at Josh and Sarah's new house they move in next week. I drive home due to the fact that over the weekend Tom's eyes got red and swollen and his contact was scathing his eye. He slept I drove (normally the other way around, and that's how I like it) I cut of 23 min of our drive time....tom calls me a fast drive...pesh posh. To tired to cook after my long 4 1/2 hour drive I made that we called in delivery pizza and I did manage to get in 2 loads of laundry. Follow up by watching my new favorite obsession  TV Show....Army Wives (season 4). To bed.

Weekend Recap! Rockstar style.

Party like a Rockstar~

This past weekend we ventured out of our house after begin house stuck for a week an half with Tom, as he was getting over his aliments. We hopped in the Volvo and hit the open road, it was a nice feeling to get out(even if it was just to Molalla). We went to my sweet little brothers Baseball game , then jumped in the car and drove to our NEW house and walked around, meet some our neighbors who told us we were building a monster house, and i simply smiled and said "oh! Thank you I guess?!" Because its not big its normal size. I think that was their nice way of saying...."we enjoy our quite neighborhood and all the traffic with building supplies, electricians, plumbers, cement trucks.....is annoying us!
.

Roof Half done,but stairs complete!

Next day, roof done, windows in!!!

Then we went to my brother in laws concert. How cool that he is so talented and gets to do this! My sister is a true Rockstar. She is their manager, sales rep, and pretty much all around band keeper on the straight and narrow girl, who happens to be crazy for the drummer! :) It was cute these Jr. High girls were swooning over the band, they got all their autographs and even went up to Noelle to get hers!!! OK seriously adorable

*spotted up their getting autographs too....we may be a little older then Jr. High but what can we say?! WE LOVE SAWTELL, and are so proud of them.

My Rockstar Brother in Law Isaac McKinley- The drummer!

Then on Sunday we went and hung after church at our house!!! We showed it off in all the framing to our parents and friends. Then we just walked around and sat there for 2 hours. We got to leave some inscriptions on the walls, The entire process has been really awesome, just knowing that I am the first one to live in this house, and those are my 2x4's makes me excited.
*I may have taken some extra technically not being used boards to make some art to hang in my house! It will be awesome when its done, but for now I have a pile of board ridding around in the trunk with me! (pictures to come)

Time Flies WYNN you are having a great time.....

My mom use to tell me..."Dont wish your life away, enjoy each season. And once you start getting older time just goes faster." And how true is that?! I feel like I blinked and here I am 26, married, building a house, and the list goes on. Its like the country song "Don't Blink" Well I have got to stop doing that. Maybe permanently keep my eyes open or something. And then I start thinking about where i will be at next year this time. What new adventurers I will be doing...going....getting ready for.

April 2010: ohhh man I miss the sun!

Oh man how wonderful that sun was....nice 85 degrees everyday in the dry dessert a girl can get use to this kind of life.
My *at the time soon to be in laws decided they wanted to spend time with us and flew us out to Vegas 2 months before our wedding for a nice relaxing getaway. It was AMAZING. we just RELAXED...and after wedding planning it was just what I needed.
Next few pictures our Vegas Brittingham style.
I could not have asked for better in laws. They are truly amazing.

It took 4 action shots to get this one with no people walking through and me smiling.... well worth it though.
We did all the touristy things, and then hung by the pool and went to Cirque du Soleil , that was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. Then Phantom of the Opera. Toms favorite hotel "Caesars Palace" my favorite "The Ballagio"
And this why people get married in Vegas...this is the loby to the new hotel "The Wynn"

I walked down this Isle and fell in love. I told Jim and Kathy..."Find me Elvis" :) but no we did not get married like everyone told us to in Vegas. We waited 2 more moths to do it in front of our family and friends :) But seriously slap me in a dress and I would walk down that isle in the Wynn in a heart beat. I might in fact pretend we didn't get married fly down there and do it all again right there in the middle of the lobby!!! its wedding perfect!

So the moral of the story is "Time flies WYNN you are having a great time...and my life this last year has been great, in fact the BEST year of my life. And for now I love where I am and am not wishing my life to go any faster!

New Year New Goals

I have decided that I wanted to do the Project 365, take a picture everyday, and I will still blog but on days I can not find a single thing to share or blog about, at least I will get a picture up there!

So to play catch up on the past few weeks of my life and 2011.....

Dec 31st / Jan 1st-
HAPPY NEW YEARS
We Rocked in the New Year with Our family and lots of Kids

Jan (some where in the first week)
Meet my favorite Blazer Player- Patty Mills. As we walked down the mall, I walked past him and said "Babe, that looks like Patty Mills" and Tom looked and said "Honey that's because it is Patty!" So as a person with stalker tendencies asked "can we follow him" But as a reasonable man that Tom is said no, something about him being on the phone and its not nice to stalk people. But I didn't really hear anything because I was focused on how to get to Patty Mills...some sort of excuse to turn around and go the opposite way of the car.  After I instantly posted on Facebook...oh the joy of having a "smart phone" I somehow convinced Tom to "just see" if Patty was off the phone yet, AND WELL it worked. ( my hunch is, its because he loves me  A LOT) W not only found Patty but he was off the phone. I smiled really big and he looked at me like I was a crazy woman. We went up and I said "Hi Patty, I am a huge fan, you are my favorite player." - and then it started to go down hill........FAST. I got a red and started sweating, I was star struck and could not even remember how to speak, I believe the next words out of my mouth went something like this...."I love, playing you watch...."

Oh man talk about lame!!!! But Tom picked up what i was trying to say and talked with him, he was super cool, he was looking for his Mum and Dad they left him in a store! :) And as a person with Stalker tendencies  I had my phone camera up and ready "just in case"
Patty Mills!!!!

Skip ahead a little bit....

January 12th - Happy 7 month anniversary to me and my Thomas. Life is great, I love being married, actually, every month just gets better!

January 13th
We began the house purchasing process for the 2nd time!!!
"Thats my house!!" :)

WE put an offer on this house, its everything we want in a house with a double lot property and 3 thousand square foot house. We should know if they like our offer by Monday at 5pm!!! Meanwhile I have already started to paint and decorate in my mind. :)

So there is a little catch up and some pictures for my day.

3 Things Friday - Grammy

I am not sure if this is because its almost Christmas and I am extra sappy or what but this is my 3 things Friday.

1. I was adopted when I was 15 years old. I was born into this world as a Newton, and then turned into a Lehman and will finish up my life as a Brittingham! ! . But long before I was "officially" adopted, I was brought and accepted into this family. The Lehman's! They were a loud bunch, they always said what was on their mind and they yelled and talked over each other, but THEY LOVED EACH OTHER. I gained a new dad, 2 aunts an amazing uncle. And 2 LOVING grandparents. From the moment my parents got married I was treated as a biological granddaughter. And after a very long Christmas 13 years ago, where I spent 3 days leading up to Christmas in Redmond with my "Real Dad" My parents came to pick us up and drove us straight to Christmas Eve at the Lehman's. (it was on hold until the "whole" family could be here, we are not complete with out my girls- My Grammy said) And as we showed up late Christmas eve night we were greeted and we opened gifts and an extra gift was that my Gramp's and Grammy were going to pay for our adoption to make us official Lehman Girls! ! So 13 years ago I was given the best gift - the gift family.

My Daddy Giving me away June 12th 2010
2. Every Christmas I would learn a new treat to make from my Grammy, She would literally "Deck the Halls" she had this amazing way of decorating and making amazing things for people- she truly was the most giving person I have ever known. But YES every ounce of "desert / treats" comes from her. We would do peanut brittle, brownies, cheesecake, rice cakes, lemon bars, fudge, sugar cookies, Jam (in the summer time) ...and the list goes on. And each grand kid got to come over on their own day and make stuff for people in the church. And the older you got the hard the treat you got to make. My very last year we made peanut brittle and then sat and ate all of it and talked. And after all 7 of us would make a treat we would come over and wrap them up in a goodies sack and load in the car and take the treats to the people in the church and bless them.

Grammy Made all of our Stockings , and every year we got our Grandkids photo!
3. I was told a story by a woman who had known my Grammy for a long time. So I will tell you the story I heard;
" You know your Grammy was a very special lady in so many ways. She blessed my life beyond words. She prayed with me, encouraged me and helped in practical ways. Not only was she a blessing for me but for my daughter. Do you know, ever year she would ask me what I wanted for Christmas, and ever year I would say KITCHEN TOWELS. And every year she made me some, not only did she fill a need, she did it from her heart. And she would give my family a treat of some sort and on the tag it would say Love the Lehman Crew."
(I smiled knowing it was from me and my cousins- Hopping that they tasted good, and lord knowing there may be an egg shell or two in them) - (with tears rolling down her face) she said " I miss my kitchen towels I miss the treats, I miss your Grammy. BUT I started a tradition with my kids , and we make treats and hand them out because of you and your family."

This year I got a goodie bag from her, filled with yummy food...So even though the tradition does not live on in my family, someone else is doing it (and that makes my heart melt)
*so what you should know about me to relate to this #3 is that I want and desire to be more like my Grammy. A caring and giving person that one day people will know me by my GOOD Actions. And to decorate my house and teach my children all the goodness of the Lord in this season and in life. To leave a legacy bigger then me, to touch generations for the Lord, and that one day my kids and grand kids will resemble my Grammy and still carry on her traditions.
And this is who I get to start my Family with and our Traditions!

Im an Auntie!

Babies, Babies and more Babies!!

This year has brought a lot of Change for me personally but also for the Brittingham Family. With a new marriage, and 3 out of the 4 "Britt Boys" got promotions and new jobs!! 2 of them have moved locations, but also the NEW JOY of not only 1 but 2 new Brittingham Boys, promising to make their appearance this winter!

Sheena was due November 13th and Jenn was due December 20th.

Oliver James Brittingham was a stubborn little guy and wanted to wait an extra week, he was a little to comfortable inside. He was born on Nov 19th weighing 8lbs and 13 ounces and sooooo cute. He looks just like his mom, and has the Brittingham chin. It was fun to be part of his birth and get to hold him and love on him.
Minutes after he was born..I love him just staring up at his daddy!

And 2 days later Jenn went into early labor they put her on bed rest in the hospital and after a week in there, they could not get her blood pressure down and baby was needing to come now. So they did emergency C Section.
                          Cason Thomas Brittingham

Weighing 5 pounds 1 ounce was born Nov. 26th named after his uncle Thomas! (which was a great surprise to us)There is a very sweet story behind the birth of Cason. His parents had decided to be done and 3 days before they got the issues solved, Jenn got pregnant. And their son Jaxon, had said "mom I had been praying that Jesus would give me a baby brother. And he answered my prayers." - Not only did Jaxon pray for another kid but a brother and that Jesus told him that his brothers name would start with a C!!! :)

He is doing great, gaining weight by the day, he looks just like his older sisters and brother!

So that adds the Niece and Nephew count up to 8!!!!

I love being in a big family that will only continue to grow, It was something I had prayed about my entire life that I would have lots of sister and brother in laws and lots of babies!

And one day we will be holding our own, but for now this is GREAT! I love being an Auntie~

Buying a House!! - True Colors

First Impressions are key- you only get one chance to make that first impression, and statistics say you have 6 seconds before someone will make a judgment even with out words spoke!!

What or how do you start the, buying a house process.....in all reality we are house purchasing virgins....I dont know what to do or how to start. :)
So we have been looking online at houses, dozens of the same looking houses for sale, too much land, not enough, house needs A LOT of work, the house is too much money for that condition...in town house vs out of town..so on and so forth. And then we saw it.....we have found OUR favorite....we loved it and decide we want to go look at! So we call up their realitor and schedule a visit which happened this last Sunday.
As we pull up, and at first glance-first impression, we already see signs of disappointment. What could it be...well only a HUGE and way overpowering flag for this house and on it.... a giant U of O - ok really??!!! gross !! So as we ignored what we proceeded to walk under to get in this otherwise beautiful house, we open the door, and I was already in love. The living room has so much character and warm feelings..a fire place ...big nice windows...amazing wood floors...arch ways that lead into the hall and kitchen... and then I walked in a little further....and I walked into my worst nightmare! Green and Yellow and ducks paraphernalia every where in sight..the pictures, the magnets all over the ridge, the stuffed ducks in the shelf's, the mini flags, the coffee mugs out on display, the candles, the pom poms, and yes, even the table cloth had ducks on it...and to top off this there was green paint on the walls. For any Beaver fan that would be misery walking through, but for my husband (who by his own words, "bleeds orange and black") it was like a cruel mocking joke. Trying to putt the images out of our mind, and ignore the decor we walked through the house and saw all the fun and unique things this house has and the bad taste began to go away.
Moral of the story, the FIRST house visit us V-home owners saw, was not so attractive and a little- -lets not joke EXTENSIVELY and distastefully decorated -might even say tacky...but I am a Beavers fan so I am a little partial to my colors. But we do love the house and so the process begins...and thank the Lord the decorations will not be coming with the house!!! The realtor in the funnest way told me that we can negotiate the "pretty decorations into the price of the house" ha ha!

3 Things Friday- Noelle

When Friday hits there is a sound you can hear all over the school and probably all over every work force,  a sigh of relief....."ahhh the work week is ALMOST over" and "ahhh I get to hang out with my husband for the weekend" - well the second one is what I say!

3 Things You Should know About Me Friday:

1. I love to sleep...It is a God given gift that I treasure everyday and wish I could do more.
2. I have passed out at the Eye doctor and the dentist, and my latest fainting spell came at my sisters dermatologist appointment. We walked into her room and I knew that I wasnt going to make it out of there. So 15 min later Noelle passes out and the last thing I said to her doctor was "I am going to need some smelling salt"  And down I went. I was told later that I passed out and the doctor and nurse carried me to the next room and put me on the examining table, took my blood pressure and temperature.
You have got to watch out for those "Lehman Girls "they are fainter's...and when we are both laying on the doctors table passed out I think they put your name in the the black book for doctors! The "do not treat List" or the "Treat at your own risk" I have woke up to  doctors with wide eyes and sweat beading off their heads. Because they went into their Field of expertise thinking "this is not life endangering procedures I am going to be doing ...in and out patient..I don't really need to know how to work an oxygen tank and mask for a patient BECAUSE Who passes out at the eye doctor or the dentist or for goodness sake the Dermatologist office? The Answer is ME. and well NOELLE
3. I would choose Mints such as Tick Tacks, Mentos, or Gum over chocolate any day!!!

Sorry that this 3 things Friday came out on Monday :) Happy Monday to you, Happy November 1st-And I read a post today on facebook, that said there is 53 days and 12 hours until CHRISTMAS is here! :)

Sweet and Sappy Tuesday's

I love the season of life that we are in RIGHT NOW!!!! I am a newly wed and enjoying all that comes with that! :) we just hit our 4 month-aversary, and if I could I would go away on a honeymoon every month to celebrate us and our marriage-WHY NOT RIGHT?!!  We are busier than we have ever been, we are getting to know our new life together and each others family and friends, I have gained a ton of new family and friends in a short 1 year span. YES we have now been together over a year. I went to Ontario last year this time and meet his parents!!! And last October 17th I knew that I was going to marry Thomas.*my sweet sappy story time-
Meeting the parents is a big step in any relationship, even if you knew them before now its, "I like this person and I am bringing them home as a future potential spouse" type visits. We left on Friday October 16th took the 7 hour drive, and loved every second of it (not that I am a quality time person or anything?!!) So many thoughts going through my mind about his parents and family and our future and the "what if's" as I like to call it ...being a GIRL. I walked in, only to be hugged and made part of the family at that moment! we spend the next couple days just talking and getting to know each other, while Tom sat just smiling at what was taking place. Tom  went and got ready leaving me alone with his parents....his dad said to me "You are the first girl our Tommy has ever brought home and we have been trying to get him to shave and get a hair cut for a year now, and after 2 months with you, he comes home, clean shaving and with short hair! We are going to keep you around. HE IS GOING TO KEEP YOU AROUND" with a big smile he walked away. Saturday we headed into Boise to eat, walk around and shop- and yes I had my first Cabelas shopping experience! On the way home it was dark, his parents are up front and us in the back. I almost sat as an onlooker just watching him and his parents talk and laugh and how much love was in this family, His dad reached over and grabbed Kathy's hand and held it, and said something real low and soft and she threw her head back and laughed...at that moment I knew that's what I wanted, I wanted to be in my sixty's holing hands in the car with Mr. Thomas Brittingham talking and having babies and all that comes with it. Tom reached over and grabbed my hand and wiped my tear away and said "Are you thinking about spending the rest of your life with me? because it sounds pretty good to me!!"

So that is a big mile stone in our relationship one of many that lead us to where we are today!
Stay tuned for next Sappy Tuesday, they only get better and better!!! :)
